Powerful Innovations for the World's Energy Future

Each month, Connecticut electric utility customers invest a few extra cents towards a brighter energy future - one less dependent on foreign oil, and based instead on clean and renewable energy. The “Connecticut Clean Energy Fund” (CCEF) is used to support a wide range of innovative programs and educational activities for residents, communities, and businesses.

The CCEF promotes, develops and invests in clean energy sources for sustainable energy for the benefit of Connecticut ratepayers. We encourage you to browse through our many programs to find the one thats right for you.

CCEF was formed in 2000 by the Connecticut Legislature.

CCEF is administered by Connecticut Innovations, which has a long track record of making successful investments to advance emerging technologies.

As of March 31, 2008 CCEF's funded projects, commitments and program allocations were in excess of $165 million.
