Town Description:

Redding has a population of nearly 8,300 people who live in an area approximately 32 square miles in size. Neighboring towns include Ridgefield, Danbury, Bethel, Newtown, Easton, Weston and Wilton. Among Redding’s attractions are the Highstead Arboretum, which may be visited by appointment, and Devil’s Den Nature Preserve, which features great hiking and scenic views of the Saugatuck River from the “Great Ledge.” The town has been selected as “Connecticut’s Best Small Town.”
