20% by 2010 Clean Energy Campaign Progress:

The Town of Farmington uses 8,740,000 kwh of electricity per year for all municipal facilities. Therefore, their 20% clean energy use target is 1,748,000 kwh in 2010. To date, they have met approximately 8% of that goal through the mandatory amount as required by the state Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS). Farmington has yet to make a voluntary clean energy purchase.

Farmington will be recognized as a historic and progressive town with an engaged citizenry committed to the betterment of the entire community. To that end, high quality services will be provided to a diverse population living and working in a balanced blend of open space, residential housing and commercial properties supported by stable and equitable revenues.
