Become an Approved Performance Data Provider

The Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority (CEFIA) is seeking applications from Performance Data Providers (PDPs) interested in participating in the Residential Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Investment Program.  This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is intended to promote the transparency of the clean energy technology industry in Connecticut by approving PDPs to help CEFIA monitor the electrical production of residential PV projects sized 10 kWAC and under.

CEFIA will evaluate RFQ responses and PDPs will be approved at the sole discretion of CEFIA. PDPs selected through the RFQ are not affiliates of CEFIA. They will operate as independent entities.
CEFIA has been charged by the Connecticut State Legislature under Public Act 11-80, Section 106, to promote the installation of an additional 30 megawatts (MW) of residential PV systems by 2022. In the first quarter of 2012, CEFIA plans to release a revised Residential PV Investment Program which will require every participant to install a kilowatt-hour (kWh) monitoring device to track system performance.

PDP Requirements

  • PDPs must be established companies.
  • The monitoring product must be currently available for purchase.
  • The monitoring product must be proven to work effectively on residential PV installations.
  • PDPs must be able to provide all services outlined in the RFQ, including, but not limited to, providing data to CEFIA through a web-based platform and allowing homeowners to access real-time electrical production information.

Program Announcements

On Monday, December 12, 2011 CEFIA released Version 1 of the PDP RFQ. Applications will be accepted on a rolling submission basis.
