Maritime Learning Center Stays Course with Solar

The newly constructed James T. Carlton Marine Science Center serves as a laboratory and classroom for college students enrolled in the Williams-Mystic maritime studies program, managed by Williams College of Williamstown, Mass. 


Located on the roof of this marine science center at the Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, Connecticut, the 80-panel, 17.20-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system is supplying approximately 30% of the building’s electrical needs. The PV system was installed by Alteris Renewables.
