ROUND 2 - REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR "PROJECT 100" ISSUED

ROCKY HILL, Conn., May 15, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Round 2 of "Project 100", an initiative promoting the development and deployment of "Class I" renewable energy resources. Those parties interested in participating under "Project 100" are required to complete a proposal consistent with the RFP document and submit it by July 17, 2006.

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Completes Financing for Pre-development of Biomass Gasification Plant

ROCKY HILL, Conn., April 24, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) announced today that it has
signed a loan agreement with Norwalk-based Plainfield Renewable Energy, LLC to support that company's predevelopment of a 30-megawatt, wood-fueled, low emissions advanced biomass gasification plant at a facility it plans to build in Plainfield, Connecticut. The loan of up to $500,000 is being provided through the CCEF's Pre-Development Program, which funds the early stages of renewable energy projects that will feed power from clean energy sources into the New England electric grid.

ROCKY HILL, Conn., March 13, 2006 - The single largest solar photovoltaic (PV) project ever undertaken in the state will go forward as a result of the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund's (CCEF) recent approval to provide $1.7 million in funding for the project. The 433 kilowatt commercial solar photovoltaic system will be developed in eastern Connecticut on the site of the distribution center of a major national company. CCEF funded the project under its $21 million On-site Renewable Distributed Generation Program. The decision represents a milestone: CCEF has now supported development of more than 100 solar PV systems statewide, which have a total nameplate capacity exceeding one megawatt (1,000 kilowatts of electricity).

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, Under Project 100, Selects Three Renewable Energy Projects

ROCKY HILL, Conn., December 15, 2005 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), a quasi-public state authority, has screened, selected and forwarded three renewable energy projects to the state's two major electric utilities, the Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P) and the United Illuminating Company (UI). These two companies will review the CCEF's recommendations and perform additional analysis leading to long-term Power Purchase Agreements with the projects' owners. This is the first of a series of steps in Project 100, an innovative program created by the Connecticut General Assembly to develop 100 MW of renewable energy generation for the benefit of all Connecticut consumers.

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Seeks Installers for Solar Energy Systems

June 1, 2005 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) for firms to install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in Connecticut cities and towns. As part of its mission to promote clean energy use in the state, CCEF provides PV systems at no charge to Connecticut municipalities that qualify for its Clean Energy Communities Program. Installers chosen through the RFQ process will be invited to submit proposals for each installation.
