CONNECTICUT CLEAN ENERGY FUND ANNOUNCES OUTSTANDING RESPONSE TO ROUND TWO OF "PROJECT 100" RFP

ROCKY HILL, Conn., December 26, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) announced today that it has received twenty-eight proposals for development of grid connected clean energy projects in response to a "Project 100" Request for Proposals (RFP). The proposed projects were received under the second round of the competitive RFP. In total, the projects represent just under 315 megawatts of installed clean energy capacity and include clean energy technologies from solar, biomass, fuel cell, and wind sources.

Proposals Sought for Collaborative University/Industry Research Projects Focused on Renewable Energy

ROCKY HILL, Conn., November 29, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund today announced that it has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) - under the Yankee Ingenuity Technology Competition - for highly innovative projects to develop and commercialize renewable energy technologies. Proposals must involve collaboration between a Connecticut university and a business. The deadline for proposals is January 26, 2007.

CONNECTICUT CLEAN ENERGY FUND REISSUES "PROJECT 100" ROUND 2 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

ROCKY HILL, Conn., November 28, 2006 - Connecticut Innovations today announced that, through the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), it has reissued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Round 2 of "Project 100," an initiative promoting the development and deployment of "Class I" renewable energy resources. The re-issuance today comes after the Department of Public Utility Control's (DPUC's) approval, on November 22, 2006, of the revised electricity purchase agreement, including revised pricing options as well as RFP-related documents. Those parties interested in participating under "Project 100" are required to complete a proposal consistent with the new RFP document and submit it by December 20, 2006.

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Appoints Project Associate

August 21, 2006 - Konstantine Drakonakis of Orange, Conn., has been named project associate with the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) at Connecticut Innovations (CI), the quasi-public organization driving technology innovation in Connecticut through a variety of investment funds, projects, programs and industry leadership initiatives. As project associate, Drakonakis will be assisting in monitoring existing CCEF projects; designing and launching new programs; performing due diligence, research and analysis related to financial assistance requests; and performing program-related marketing and outreach.

PROJECT 100 BID DEADLINE EXTENDED A SECOND TIME

ROCKY HILL, Conn., August 11, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), administered by Connecticut Innovations (CI), today announced that the due date for bids under Round II of Project 100 has been extended for a second time. The extension was made in response to a directive by the Department of Public Utility Control (DPUC) to CCEF to postpone acting on Round II bids until after DPUC has rendered a final decision regarding long-term renewable energy contracts. The currently scheduled bid due date of August 15, 2006 has, therefore, been extended until a date to be determined after that decision is rendered.

Four New Solar Photovoltaic Projects to Go Forward

ROCKY HILL, Conn., July 26, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), administered by Connecticut Innovations (CI), today announced that it has committed to support the installation of six new solar photovoltaic (PV) systems located at four project sites - in Centerbrook, Hartford, West Simsbury and Westport. The funding of $270,000 will cover approximately half of the total system installation costs.

ROCKY HILL, Conn., July 14, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), administered by Connecticut Innovations (CI), today announced that the due date for bids under Round II of Project 100 has been extended from July 17, 2006 to August 15, 2006. Project 100 is an initiative promoting the development and deployment of "Class I" renewable energy resources. The initiative supports the 2003 landmark Connecticut legislation mandating local electric distribution companies to contract a minimum of 100 MW of clean energy resources by July 1, 2008.

Pilot Program Supporting Community-based Clean Energy Awareness and Education Projects Is Launched

ROCKY HILL, Conn., June 19, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today announced that it has launched a unique test pilot program with the purpose of assisting Connecticut's communities in supporting clean energy awareness and education. The program, known as the Community Innovations Grants Program, was launched at a meeting of the Portland Clean Energy Task Force this evening at the Portland Library in Portland, Conn. Portland will be the first Connecticut community to participate in the program.

Fuel Cell Park Planned for Bridgeport Receives Pre-development Financing from Connecticut Clean Ener

ROCKY HILL, Conn., May 30, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) announced today that it has signed a loan agreement with Bridgeport Fuel Cell Park, LLC (BFCP) for pre-development funding of a 10-megawatt fuel cell park to be located on a brownfield site in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This fuel cell project, when completed, will be the largest in the country and will be able to power over 9,300 households with clean energy.
