Supporting On-Site Generation Projects

As of May 2011 Connecticut Clean Energy Fund is no longer accepting applications under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Commercial Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Program.


The $3 million allocated for this program has been fully committed.


The ARRA Commercial Solar PV Program solicited applications from eligible entities working with experienced renewable energy developers. The intent of the funding was to enable owners of solar PV systems to “break even” over the life of the equipment, with a fair and reasonable return on investment compared to purchasing the equivalent amount of power from an electric utility company.


The following technologies were eligible for grants under this program:

  • Solar photovoltaic (PV)

The following entities were eligible to apply under this program:

  • For-profit companies 
  • Not-for-profit companies
  • Municipalities
  • State and federal government agencies
