Making a Smart Choice

Completed in early 2009, the 385.39-kilowatt solar PV system located at Naugatuck High School is generating approximately 23 percent of the electricity required by the school. The solar array, consisting of 518 roof-mounted solar panels, was installed by Solar Integrated Technologies.

Naugatuck High School is one of several educational institutions across the state that are making a smart choice when it comes to their energy future – they are choosing clean energy. Ever-vigilant of the bottom line and what’s good for their communities, they are embracing new ways to stabilize their electricity bills while helping the environment and teaching the benefits of clean energy.
