Supporting On-Site Generation Projects

Please review the Program Announcements section of this web page for important information.
If your business or institution is serious about installing an on-site renewable energy system, CCEF will help you pay for the generating equipment through its On-Site Renewable Distributed Generation Program.
We will help you finance the installation of systems that generate electricity from the sun, wind fuel cells, biomass, landfill gas, and river flows. The amount of the grant will depend on the economics of your installation.
Connecticut businesses and institutions may qualify for this program if they:
- Plan to install a qualified renewable energy generation device larger than 10 kilowatts.
- Own and operate the facility or serve as a third-party energy services provider.
- Are customers of The Connecticut Light and Power Co. or The United Illuminating Co.
Your investment in a clean energy system on site will yield numerous benefits. The clean energy it generates will help to lighten the load on Connecticut’s electricity grid, prevent harmful emissions by offsetting electricity produced from fossil fuels, and save you money over the long term.
