Deriving a Special Joy from Sunny Days

The more the principal broker of Tibbetts Real Estate learned about solar photovoltaic systems, the more interested she became in installing a system on the firm’s building in Darien. She noted that by installing solar PV, she would not only be doing the right thing for the environment but – because of incentives through the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund and a federal tax credit – she would also be making a great investment for her business.

She found solar particularly appealing because it is emissions-free and does not contribute to global warming. The solar array at Tibbetts Real Estate, consisting of 36 solar PV panels, produces approximately 48 percent of the electricity required by the building.
