Helping to Keep Our Climate under Control

The 15.91-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system at East Lyme Rent-A-Space, a self-storage facility, is expected to provide approximately one third of the facility’s electricity each year, saving the company about $3,500 annually on its electric bills. The system consists of 234 solar panels mounted on the rooftops of three of the company’s eight storage buildings.

The owner of the facility, an environmental enthusiast, noted that he was incredibly excited to have the potential to impact the climate of the Earth by installing solar panels.
