Cultivating Sustainability

 

Conservation and sustainability are close to the hearts of the folks at Select Seeds.  The company, which grows and sells “antique” flowers and seeds, has implemented many eco-friendly measures.  Energy-efficient lighting has been installed, and rainwater from the greenhouse roofs is captured and used to water plants.  Additionally, Select Seeds has installed solar panels on the roof of its warehouse.  This solar photovoltaic system, which includes 90 solar panels and three inverters, generates about half of the total electrical needs of the building.
