A Perfect Time for Solar
Timex Group is committed to reducing its carbon footprint. To that end, the company has installed a 244-kilowatt solar array outside its U.S. headquarters facility in Middlebury. Consisting of 800 solar panels arranged in 27 rows on the eastern side of the watchmaker’s property, it is the largest ground-mounted solar electric installation in the state.
According to the company president, the solar installation will enable the headquarters to become more energy efficient and is a critical element of the company’s worldwide efforts to reduce its carbon footprint through increased energy conservation and greenhouse gas emissions reductions.
