Partnership Facilitates Solar
The solar array at the Fluid Control Division of Parker Hannifin Corp. consists of 1,680 solar panels installed on the roof of the company’s industrial facility in New Britain. The 215.04-kW solar PV system, designed and installed by Constellation Energy’s Projects and Services Group of Baltimore, Maryland, is expected to supply approximately six percent of the facility’s electricity needs. Under the terms of a power purchase agreement between Parker and Constellation, the system will be owned, operated, and maintained by Constellation, which will sell the solar-generated electricity to Parker at below-market rates.
