Small Business with Big Commitment to Solar
Small businesses of all kinds around the state have discovered that installing solar photovoltaic panels on their facilities and generating solar energy is a great way to help control their energy costs. Precision Plastic Products is one such business. This family-operated, custom plastic injection molding company has installed a 80.52-kilowatt, 264-panel solar PV system at its facility in Portland. The installation supplies about 39 percent of the facility’s electricity, enabling the company to reduce its dependence on grid-supplied electricity.
Solar PV systems offer a way for cost-conscious small businesses to not only reduce their electricity bills but also protect the environment.
