Protecting Products AND the Environment
Pith Products has helped hundreds of American businesses protect their products by providing quality containers to store and ship products to customers. The company is also helping to protect the environment by harvesting clean energy from the sun.
In 2009, a 129.15-kW rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system was installed at Pith Products in Ashford; it is expected to generate over 60 percent of the electricity needs of the facility. This 630-panel system was installed by Alteris Renewables and was one of several green measures incorporated on site. A grant from CCEF helped to defray approximately half of the total project cost.
