Tapping Into a Unique Source of Light
The L.C. Doane Company, a designer and manufacturer of specialized lighting equipment, is capturing energy from a unique source of light…the sun. The company’s solar array, mounted on the roof of its Ivoryton facility, consists of more than 1,300 solar panels. The 236.90-kilowatt array supplies approximately 27 percent of the electricity required by the facility. L.C. Doane Company hired Alteris Renewables to install this system.
Manufacturers and other businesses around the state with large electrical demands continue to turn to solar energy technology to help control their energy costs – and stay competitive in their industries. Solar offers them a great way to improve their bottom lines while also benefiting the environment.
