Modern Enhancement to 19th Century Facility

 

A producer of metal panel systems for commercial building facades, IDA International Inc. of Derby has gone green with solar panels and energy efficiency improvements. The company has installed 525 solar panels on the south-facing roof of its manufacturing building, a structure that dates to the late 1880s. Installed by The Solar Center, the 96.92-kW solar array is expected to produce a majority of the building’s electricity annually.
