Honey Cell takes seriously its commitment to the green movement. According to a company executive, Honey Cell’s customers are looking for packaging products that are earth friendly, and the company’s honeycomb packaging products fit the bill. They are manufactured in a facility that harnesses the power of the sun. In early 2009, the company completed the installation of over 1,100 solar panels at its Shelton facility.

Not only was the solar photovoltaic installation an important environmental initiative for the company, it was also an important financial initiative. Honey Cell anticipates that it will enjoy a 30 percent reduction in its annual electricity bills.
