Socially Responsible Revitalization
The Dowling on Main building, housing retail tenants, a nonprofit organization and apartment tenants, was recently renovated. Striving to make the landmark building, which was once home to Marlow’s department store, as green as possible, the owner, Lee Capital Advisors LLC, incorporated several green features during the renovation. These included a 17.60-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system installed on the building’s roof as well as energy-efficient lighting, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems.
The electricity generated by these solar panels is used exclusively by the nonprofit tenant, the March of Dimes, which in turn benefits from savings on its electric utility bills.
Lee Capital Advisors, a provider of financial solutions for renewable energy and conservation, has seen dramatic savings through its implementation of renewable energy and energy conservation projects in many of its buildings – including Dowling on Main.
