Four New Solar Photovoltaic Projects to Go Forward |
 ROCKY HILL, Conn., July 26, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), administered by Connecticut Innovations (CI), today announced that it has committed to support the installation of six new solar photovoltaic (PV) systems located at four project sites - in Centerbrook, Hartford, West Simsbury and Westport. The funding of $270,000 will cover approximately half of the total system installation costs. |

PROJECT 100 BID DEADLINE EXTENDED TO AUGUST 15 |
 ROCKY HILL, Conn., July 14, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), administered by Connecticut Innovations (CI), today announced that the due date for bids under Round II of Project 100 has been extended from July 17, 2006 to August 15, 2006. Project 100 is an initiative promoting the development and deployment of "Class I" renewable energy resources. The initiative supports the 2003 landmark Connecticut legislation mandating local electric distribution companies to contract a minimum of 100 MW of clean energy resources by July 1, 2008. |

Pilot Program Supporting Community-based Clean Energy Awareness and Education Projects Is Launched |
 ROCKY HILL, Conn., June 19, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today announced that it has launched a unique test pilot program with the purpose of assisting Connecticut's communities in supporting clean energy awareness and education. The program, known as the Community Innovations Grants Program, was launched at a meeting of the Portland Clean Energy Task Force this evening at the Portland Library in Portland, Conn. Portland will be the first Connecticut community to participate in the program. |

Fuel Cell Park Planned for Bridgeport Receives Pre-development Financing from Connecticut Clean Ener |
 ROCKY HILL, Conn., May 30, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) announced today that it has signed a loan agreement with Bridgeport Fuel Cell Park, LLC (BFCP) for pre-development funding of a 10-megawatt fuel cell park to be located on a brownfield site in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This fuel cell project, when completed, will be the largest in the country and will be able to power over 9,300 households with clean energy. |

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Completes Financing for Pre-development of Biomass Gasification Plant |
 ROCKY HILL, Conn., April 24, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) announced today that it has
signed a loan agreement with Norwalk-based Plainfield Renewable Energy, LLC to support that company's predevelopment of a 30-megawatt, wood-fueled, low emissions advanced biomass gasification plant at a facility it plans to build in Plainfield, Connecticut. The loan of up to $500,000 is being provided through the CCEF's Pre-Development Program, which funds the early stages of renewable energy projects that will feed power from clean energy sources into the New England electric grid. |

The 433 kilowatt commercial solar photovoltaic system will be developed in eastern Connecticut on the site of the distribution center of a major national company. CCEF funded the project under its $21 million On-site Renewable Distributed Generation Program. The decision represents a milestone: CCEF has now supported development of more than 100 solar PV systems statewide, which have a total nameplate capacity exceeding one megawatt (1,000 kilowatts of electricity). |

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, Under Project 100, Selects Three Renewable Energy Projects |
 ROCKY HILL, Conn., December 15, 2005 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), a quasi-public state authority, has screened, selected and forwarded three renewable energy projects to the state's two major electric utilities, the Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P) and the United Illuminating Company (UI). These two companies will review the CCEF's recommendations and perform additional analysis leading to long-term Power Purchase Agreements with the projects' owners. This is the first of a series of steps in Project 100, an innovative program created by the Connecticut General Assembly to develop 100 MW of renewable energy generation for the benefit of all Connecticut consumers. |
