Common Ground High School Celebrates Launch of Solar Energy Curriculum for Teachers; Dedicates Solar |
 ROCKY HILL, Conn., December 5, 2007 - Common Ground High School of New Haven today hosted the launch of a solar energy curriculum program for teachers. Designed by the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), Learning for Clean Energy Innovation (LCEI) will focus initially on solar energy education and will later be expanded to cover fuel cell and wind energy. LCEI professional development sessions will incorporate a specially designed curriculum aligned with the Connecticut Department of Education's Science Frameworks, and will be offered to 9th-grade teachers from the 61 towns in the state who are participating in the 20% by 2010 Campaign. |

Ridgefield Earns Designation as Connecticut Clean Energy Community and Earns Solar Array |
 ROCKY HILL, Conn., December 3, 2007 - Ridgefield has joined a growing list of municipalities in the state that have become "Connecticut Clean Energy Communities." Ridgefield earned this designation by committing to the purchase of 20% clean energy by the year 2010, by signing up nearly 200 residents as clean energy customers, and by purchasing renewable energy certificates representing 3% of its electricity load for municipal buildings from Community Energy. As a result of this commitment to clean energy, Ridgefield has earned a $20,000 solar energy array to be installed on the municipal building of its choice. |

New Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Board Launched |
 October 23, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), today announced that the new statutorily created Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Board held its first meeting October 1, 2007. Timothy Bowles of Riverbend Associates was elected chairman of the board. The new Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Board, which replaces the CCEF Advisory Committee and the Clean Energy Investment Committee of CI, is charged with developing a comprehensive strategic plan for CCEF and authorizing expenditures from the Fund for projects, programs and operating expenses. |

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Issues First Feasibility Grant to One World Energy |

High Performance Schools Program Receives Nod and Commitment of $1,375,000 |

(CI), today announced that the Connecticut Clean Energy Investment Committee has approved a funding allocation of up to $1,375,000 to enable CCEF to launch a new initiative, the High Performance Schools Program (HPSP). The goal is to transform how Connecticut schools are designed and built and to move towns to include energy efficiency features and clean distributed energy generation as standard components in newly constructed schools or major renovation projects. |

Essex Earns Designation as Connecticut Clean Energy Community |
 September 26, 2007 - Essex has joined a growing list of municipalities in the state that have become "Connecticut Clean Energy Communities." Connecticut cities and towns can earn this designation under the Connecticut Clean Energy Communities Program (CCEC), a partnership between the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) and SmartPower, by meeting three requirements: (1) committing to purchasing 20% clean energy by the year 2010, (2) having a threshold number of residents and small businesses sign up for the CTCleanEnergyOptionssm program, offer to customers of United Illuminating and CL&P, and (3) making a municipal clean energy purchase. |

New Haven Synagogue Hosts Dedication of Solar Array |
 September 18, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), Congregation Beth El-Keser Israel and Sunlight Solar Energy Inc. today hosted a dedication ceremony for a 10.5-kilowatt DC solar photovoltaic (PV) system that has been installed on the roof of the synagogue Congregation Beth El-Keser Israel (BEKI) in New Haven, Conn. The installation was made possible, in part, by a rebate of $48,768 from CCEF through its Solar PV Rebate Program, which is available to Connecticut residents, nonprofits and governmental organizations. The balance of funding for the project was provided by over 150 individual donors. |

New Hydrogen Production Technology Demonstrated Successfully at Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center |
 ROCKY HILL, Conn., September 6, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), FuelCell Energy (FCE), and the University of Connecticut today hosted a luncheon at the Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center (CGFCC) to celebrate the successful demonstration of an innovative, distributed generation hydrogen production technology that holds great promise for both transportation and industrial applications. The Electrochemical Hydrogen Separator (EHS) technology, developed by FCE and demonstrated on a subscale level at the CGFCC, could potentially make the cost of hydrogen competitive with that of gasoline. |
