Sherman Commits to Clean Energy

ROCKY HILL, Conn., May 27, 2008 – The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today announced that the Town of Sherman has joined the Connecticut Clean Energy Communities Program. Town officials have signed an official resolution declaring the town’s commitment to the goal of having at least 20% of its electricity for municipal facilities come from clean, renewable energy sources by the year 2010. Sherman joins 74 other Connecticut municipalities that have made a commitment to a cleaner environment and greater energy independence.

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Approves $1.3 Million Grant to Support Solar Installation at Thule Inc

ROCKY HILL, Conn., April 7, 2008 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) board of directors today announced approval of a $1.3 million grant for a 318-kilowatt (kW) DC solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Thule Inc.’s Seymour, Conn., U.S. headquarters facility. Community Leaders in Clean Energy Receive Awards

ROCKY HILL, Conn., March 18, 2008 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today presented awards to 22 community leaders in recognition of their support of clean energy. Chrisholm Marina Installs Solar Panels with Support from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund

ROCKY HILL, Conn., February 28, 2008 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today announced the completion of the installation of a 12.4-kilowatt DC solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Chrisholm Marina in Chester, Conn. The installation was made possible, in part, by a $53,658 grant from CCEF, which paid for approximately half of the total system cost. CCEF provided this grant through its On-site Renewable Distributed Energy (DG) Program.
