ROCKY HILL, Conn., April 7, 2008 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) board of directors today announced approval of a $1.3 million grant for a 318-kilowatt (kW) DC solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Thule Inc.’s Seymour, Conn., U.S. headquarters facility. Thule Inc. is a world leader in the manufacturing of transportation accessories including vehicle roof rack systems, innovative RV solutions and truck racks and boxes for professional contractors.

CONNECTICUT CLEAN ENERGY FUND ISSUES THIRD ROUND OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR “PROJECT 150”
ROCKY HILL, Conn., April 1, 2008 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), managed by Connecticut Innovations, Inc., released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Round 3 of “Project 150,” an initiative promoting the development and deployment of “Class I” renewable energy resources. Parties interested in participating in “Project 150” are required to complete a proposal consistent with the new RFP document and submit it to CCEF by May 30, 2008.

Community Leaders in Clean Energy Receive Awards
ROCKY HILL, Conn., March 18, 2008 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today presented awards to 22 community leaders in recognition of their support of clean energy. Awards were presented to 19 Connecticut municipalities, two companies and one university – all winners of CCEF’s 2008 Connecticut Clean Energy Communities Awards. The awards luncheon was held at the New Haven Lawn Club.

Chrisholm Marina Installs Solar Panels with Support from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund
ROCKY HILL, Conn., February 28, 2008 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today announced the completion of the installation of a 12.4-kilowatt DC solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Chrisholm Marina in Chester, Conn. The installation was made possible, in part, by a $53,658 grant from CCEF, which paid for approximately half of the total system cost. CCEF provided this grant through its On-site Renewable Distributed Energy (DG) Program.

$1,180,000 Grant from Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Approved for Solar PV Installation
ROCKY HILL, Conn., December 14, 2007 – The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) Board today announced approval of a $1,180,000 grant to defray approximately half of the total cost of a 308-kilowatt DC solar photovoltaic (PV) system at The Lee Company’s Westbrook, Conn., Restrictor Group production facility. Upon completion, this system will be the largest solar photovoltaic system at a manufacturing facility in the state of Connecticut.

United Natural Foods Extends Environmentally Responsible Initiatives
ROCKY HILL, Conn., December 13, 2007 - Furthering its commitment to Environmentally Responsible Initiatives, United Natural Foods, Inc. (Nasdaq: UNFI) along with Solar Works, Inc. and the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), today held a dedication ceremony for the installation of the largest solar electric system in New England. The 550-kilowatt STC solar photovoltaic system from SCHOTT Solar, installed at the Company's state-of-the-art distribution facility in Dayville, CT, is expected to generate approximately 600,000 kilowatt hours of clean energy annually, enough to power more than 67 average New England homes for one year. The system output will avoid over 14 million pounds (over 6,350 metric tons) of carbon dioxide over the 25-year life of the system.

Common Ground High School Celebrates Launch of Solar Energy Curriculum for Teachers; Dedicates Solar
ROCKY HILL, Conn., December 5, 2007 - Common Ground High School of New Haven today hosted the launch of a solar energy curriculum program for teachers. Designed by the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), Learning for Clean Energy Innovation (LCEI) will focus initially on solar energy education and will later be expanded to cover fuel cell and wind energy. LCEI professional development sessions will incorporate a specially designed curriculum aligned with the Connecticut Department of Education's Science Frameworks, and will be offered to 9th-grade teachers from the 61 towns in the state who are participating in the 20% by 2010 Campaign.

Ridgefield Earns Designation as Connecticut Clean Energy Community and Earns Solar Array
ROCKY HILL, Conn., December 3, 2007 - Ridgefield has joined a growing list of municipalities in the state that have become "Connecticut Clean Energy Communities." Ridgefield earned this designation by committing to the purchase of 20% clean energy by the year 2010, by signing up nearly 200 residents as clean energy customers, and by purchasing renewable energy certificates representing 3% of its electricity load for municipal buildings from Community Energy. As a result of this commitment to clean energy, Ridgefield has earned a $20,000 solar energy array to be installed on the municipal building of its choice.

CCEF and Connecticut Home Owners Help State Reach Two Major Clean Energy Milestones
ROCKY HILL, Conn., November 15, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), today announced that home owners across the state are increasingly harnessing the power of the sun. Together, Connecticut home owners and CCEF have helped the state reach two important clean energy milestones: the 200th residential solar installation and 1 megawatt (MW) of installed residential solar capacity. These installations were made possible, in part, by rebates offered through CCEF's Solar PV Rebate Program.

New Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Board Launched
October 23, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), today announced that the new statutorily created Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Board held its first meeting October 1, 2007. Timothy Bowles of Riverbend Associates was elected chairman of the board. The new Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Board, which replaces the CCEF Advisory Committee and the Clean Energy Investment Committee of CI, is charged with developing a comprehensive strategic plan for CCEF and authorizing expenditures from the Fund for projects, programs and operating expenses.

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Issues First Feasibility Grant to One World Energy
October 22, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), today announced that it has issued its first Site-Specific Feasibility Study Grant under the On-Site Renewable Distributed Generation Program to One World Energy for a wind energy feasibility project it is conducting for Hartford Hospital. The grant amount was approximately $49,000.

High Performance Schools Program Receives Nod and Commitment of $1,375,000
ROCKY HILL, Conn., October 16, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), today announced that the Connecticut Clean Energy Investment Committee has approved a funding allocation of up to $1,375,000 to enable CCEF to launch a new initiative, the High Performance Schools Program (HPSP). The goal is to transform how Connecticut schools are designed and built and to move towns to include energy efficiency features and clean distributed energy generation as standard components in newly constructed schools or major renovation projects.  

Essex Earns Designation as Connecticut Clean Energy Community
September 26, 2007 - Essex has joined a growing list of municipalities in the state that have become "Connecticut Clean Energy Communities." Connecticut cities and towns can earn this designation under the Connecticut Clean Energy Communities Program (CCEC), a partnership between the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) and SmartPower, by meeting three requirements: (1) committing to purchasing 20% clean energy by the year 2010, (2) having a threshold number of residents and small businesses sign up for the CTCleanEnergyOptionssm program, offer to customers of United Illuminating and CL&P, and (3) making a municipal clean energy purchase.

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Provides $176,000 to Support UConn/UTC Power Applied Research Project
September 20, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), today announced that it has provided $176,000 to the University of Connecticut (UConn) to support a collaborative applied research project with UTC Power, a United Technologies company that has pioneered advances in many areas of fuel cell technology.

New Haven Synagogue Hosts Dedication of Solar Array
September 18, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), Congregation Beth El-Keser Israel and Sunlight Solar Energy Inc. today hosted a dedication ceremony for a 10.5-kilowatt DC solar photovoltaic (PV) system that has been installed on the roof of the synagogue Congregation Beth El-Keser Israel (BEKI) in New Haven, Conn. The installation was made possible, in part, by a rebate of $48,768 from CCEF through its Solar PV Rebate Program, which is available to Connecticut residents, nonprofits and governmental organizations. The balance of funding for the project was provided by over 150 individual donors.

New Hydrogen Production Technology Demonstrated Successfully at Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center
ROCKY HILL, Conn., September 6, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), FuelCell Energy (FCE), and the University of Connecticut today hosted a luncheon at the Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center (CGFCC) to celebrate the successful demonstration of an innovative, distributed generation hydrogen production technology that holds great promise for both transportation and industrial applications. The Electrochemical Hydrogen Separator (EHS) technology, developed by FCE and demonstrated on a subscale level at the CGFCC, could potentially make the cost of hydrogen competitive with that of gasoline.

Celebration of Successful Demonstration of New Hydrogen Production Technology - September 6
WHAT: A team including the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), FuelCell Energy (FCE), the University of Connecticut (UConn) School of Engineering and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) joined forces to complete a successful demonstration of an innovative, distributed hydrogen production technology that holds great promise for both transportation and industrial applications. The technology, called an Electrochemical Hydrogen Separator (EHS), was developed by FCE and demonstrated on a subscale level at the Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center (CGFCC) at UConn, with financial assistance from both the CCEF and DoD.

Fisher Hall Dormitory at Yale Divinity School Receives Power from above through Solar PV Array
ROCKY HILL, Conn., July 24, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), Yale University and Sunlight Solar Energy Inc. today hosted a dedication ceremony to celebrate the unveiling of a 40.29-kilowatt DC commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) system that has been installed on the Fisher Hall dormitory at Yale Divinity School in New Haven, Conn. The installation was made possible, in part, by a grant of $187,298 from CCEF through its On-Site Renewable Distributed Generation Program. The grant to Yale University covered approximately half of the total project cost.

$128,100 Grant from Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Approved for Solar PV Installation at Planet Self
ROCKY HILL, Conn., June 27, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), today announced that the Connecticut Clean Energy Investment Committee has approved a grant of $128,100 to help defray half of the total project cost of installing a 27.72-kilowatt DC solar photovoltaic (PV) system at the Planet Self Storage facility located in Newington, Connecticut. This facility is owned by Newington Storage, LLC, of Newington, Connecticut, which will be the grant recipient. CCEF's funding will be provided through its On-Site Renewable Distributed Generation (DG) Program.

Hamden Unveils Solar Electric System Awarded Under the Connecticut Clean Energy Communities Program
ROCKY HILL, Conn., June 14, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today hosted a dedication ceremony to unveil a 4-kilowatt solar photovoltaic (PV) system installed at Keefe Community Center in Hamden, Conn. The Town of Hamden earned this solar PV system through the Connecticut Clean Energy Communities Program of CCEF.

$1.95 Million Grant from Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Approved for Solar PV Installation
ROCKY HILL, Conn., June 13, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), today announced that the Connecticut Clean Energy Investment Committee has approved a grant of $1.95 million to help defray close to half of the total project cost of installing a 525-kilowatt DC solar photovoltaic (PV) system at 60 Shelter Rock Road in Danbury, Connecticut, an industrial condominium facility. CCEF's funding will be provided through its On-Site Renewable Distributed Generation (DG) Program.

(CI), today announced that the Connecticut Clean Energy Investment Committee has approved a grant of up to $722,000 to help defray a portion of the total project cost of installing a 168-kilowatt DC solar photovoltaic (PV) system at the headquarters facility of General Electric Company (GE) in Fairfield, Connecticut. CCEF's funding will be provided through its On-Site Renewable Distributed Generation (DG) Program.

Town of Westport Takes Major Step Toward Clean Energy: 24 kW Solar PV System is Installed
WESTPORT, Conn., May 25, 2007 - The Town of Westport has completed the installation of a 24-kilowatt (kW) solar PV system on the roof of the Fire Station at 515 Post Road East. Encompassing an array of PV panels on the large flat roof, as well as a smaller array that is mounted at an angle on the parapet wall and visible from street and ground level, the PV system will convert sunlight into electricity for direct use in the Fire Station building. The system will generate roughly 7% of the annual energy needs for the building and will be interconnected with the regional utility grid of CL&P. Unique to the system design, there are no roof penetrations and the system has data acquisition and performance monitoring capability, so that the public will be able to access system performance and energy production profile via the town's website.

$940,000 Grant from Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Approved for Middletown High School Fuel Cell Proj
ROCKY HILL, Conn., May 24, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), today announced that the Connecticut Clean Energy Investment Committee has approved a grant of $940,000 to help defray more than half of the total project cost of installing a 200-kilowatt fuel cell at the new Middletown High School, currently under construction in Middletown, Connecticut. CCEF's funding will be provided through its On-site Renewable Distributed Generation (DG) Program.

$1.23 Million Grant from Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Approved for Solar PV Installation
ROCKY HILL, Conn., May 17, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), today announced that the Connecticut Clean Energy Investment Committee has approved a grant of $1,228,500 to help defray a portion of the total project cost of installing a 615-kilowatt DC solar photovoltaic (PV) system at an industrial park located at 2 Great Pasture Road in Danbury, Connecticut. This solar PV system, when constructed, will be the largest commercial solar PV installation in Connecticut and one of the largest in New England. $557,134 Grant from Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Approved for Hydro Electric Turbine Demonstration
ROCKY HILL, Conn., May 14, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), today announced that the Connecticut Clean Energy Investment Committee has approved a loan of $557,134 to help fund the demonstration of a new unique 500-kilowatt hydro electric turbine system, consisting of five micro hydro turbine units, at Kirby Mill in Mansfield, Connecticut. The developer of the technology is Windham Automated Machines, Inc. (WAM), an equipment engineering and manufacturing company located in the historic Kirby Mill within Mansfield Hollow State Park. CCEF's funding will be provided through its Operational Demonstration Program.

First Electricity Purchase Agreement under Project 100 Signed
ROCKY HILL, Conn., May 10, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), a quasi-public state authority, today announced that the first long-term electricity purchase agreement (EPA) for Class 1 renewable energy under Project 100 has been completed - a 15-year EPA for the purchase of clean energy from a facility with 15 megawatts of production capacity. The EPA was executed by The Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P), the purchaser of clean electricity, and GDI Renewable Power - Watertown, LLC, the renewable energy producer and seller.

Manchester Commits to 20% Clean Energy by 2010 and Becomes 20th Connecticut Clean Energy Community
MANCHESTER, Conn., April 26, 2007 -  On the evening of April 17th, the Town of Manchester became the latest community in Connecticut to help the state solidify its place as a leader in clean energy when it both committed to the SmartPower 20% by 2010sm campaign and earned the designation of Connecticut Clean Energy Community. Manchester becomes the 45th municipality in the state to commit to 20% clean energy by 2010. Derby and Willimantic BJ's Wholesale Clubs Unveil "Twin" Solar PV Arrays
ROCKY HILL, Conn., April 11, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), BJ's Wholesale Club and Conservation Services Group (CSG) today hosted a dedication ceremony to celebrate the unveiling of two 82.8-kilowattDC commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems that have been installed on the rooftops of two Connecticut BJ's Wholesale Clubs - the 80,160 square foot retail store in Derby and the 68,160 square foot retail store in Willimantic. The installations were made possible, in part, by a combined grant of $742,000 from CCEF through its On-Site Renewable Distributed Generation Program. The balance of the system cost is being financed by the system developer and owner, Conservation Services Group (CSG).

Pine Point School of Stonington Unveils 72.6-kilowatt Solar Electric System
ROCKY HILL, Conn., April 2, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), today participated in a dedication event at Pine Point School of Stonington, Connecticut, to celebrate the installation of a 72.6-kilowattSTC solar photovoltaic (PV) system on the rooftop of this independent day school serving students from pre-school through grade 9. The installation of the 330-panel solar PV system was made possible through a grant of $285,000 from CCEF's On-Site Renewable Distributed Generation Program. The grant covered approximately 62% of the cost of the solar PV installation. The balance of the system cost is being financed by solar developer and installer SolarWrights Inc.

Green Light Given for Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Grant to Support Solar PV Installation
ROCKY HILL, Conn., March 29, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today announced that the Clean Energy Investment Committee has approved a grant of $126,000 to New Canaan Country School (NCCS) to help defray approximately half the cost of installing a 27.6-kilowatt solar photovoltaic (PV) system on the rooftop of the school's Stevens Upper School Building. When installed, the solar PV system is expected to generate about 5.6% of the school's total electrical needs.

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, Under Round 2 of Project 100, Selects 11 Renewable Energy Projects
ROCKY HILL, Conn., March 26, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), a ratepayer fund administered by Connecticut Innovations Inc. (CI), a quasi-public state authority, has screened and selected 11 renewable energy projects to forward to the state's two electric distribution companies, the Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P) and the United Illuminating Company (UI), under Round 2 of Project 100. These electric distribution companies will review CCEF's recommendations and perform additional analyses leading to their selection of projects to receive long-term power purchase agreements. This was the second round of projects selected through Project 100, an innovative program created by the Connecticut General Assembly to develop not less than 100 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy generation for the benefit of all Connecticut consumers. Round 1 of Project 100 resulted in the electric distribution companies negotiating a long-term power purchase contract representing approximately 15 MW of new renewable generation.

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Grant Approved to Support Solar PV Installation at R.C. Bigelow
March 23, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today announced that the Clean Energy Investment Committee has approved a grant of $777,000 to the R.C. Bigelow Company, also known as the Bigelow Tea Company, to defray approximately 55% of the cost of installing a 171-kilowatt solar photovoltaic (PV) system at the company's Fairfield, Connecticut headquarters facility. The solar PV system will be mounted on the rooftops of four different building levels and will supply approximately 195,600 kilowatt hours annually, or 6.7% of the total electrical needs of the headquarters complex.

Fifteen Connecticut Towns Receive Clean Energy Grants
ROCKY HILL, Conn., February 27, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today announced that it has presented fifteen Connecticut towns - Bloomfield, Canton, Cheshire, Chester, Essex, Hartford, Harwinton, Meriden, Plainville, Salisbury, Stamford, West Hartford, Westport, Wethersfield and Woodbridge - with grants of $5,000 each to help their communities support clean energy awareness and education. The CCEF program through which the grants were provided is known as the Community Innovations Grants Program. These new grants follow nine grants announced previously, bringing the total number of Connecticut towns awarded grants through this program to 24.

100th Residential Solar PV Installation Milestone Reached in Connecticut
ROCKY HILL, Conn., February 21, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) and Portland home owners Andy Bauer and Joanna Schnurman today hosted a gathering at their residence to celebrate the installation of the state's 100th residential solar photovoltaic (PV) system - enabled with assistance from CCEF. The 2.4-kilowatt solar PV system is installed on the rooftop of their home and is expected to supply 30% or more of the family's electricity needs while reducing the family's monthly electric bill.

Norfolk Earns Designation as Connecticut Clean Energy Community
ROCKY HILL, Conn., February 20, 2007 - Norfolk has earned the Leadership Reward from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund in recognition of its status as the first Connecticut municipality with 10% of its households enrolled in the CTCleanEnergyOptions program. To qualify for this distinction, Norfolk joined a growing list of municipalities in the state that have become "Connecticut Clean Energy Communities." Through the Connecticut Clean Energy Communities Program, a partnership between the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) and SmartPower, Connecticut cities and towns can earn this designation by reaching two milestones: (1) committing to purchasing 20% clean energy by the year 2010 and (2) having at least 100 residents and small businesses or 10% of households sign up for the CTCleanEnergyOptions program, offered to customers of United Illuminating and CL&P. By meeting these two important clean energy milestones, Norfolk will now receive an "earned", 1-kilowatt solar photovoltaic (PV) system that may be installed on a municipal building of its choice.

New England's Largest Solar Power Installation Unveiled at Staples Distribution Center in Killingly
ROCKY HILL, Conn., January 16, 2007 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), Staples and SunEdison will host a dedication ceremony today to unveil the largest solar power installation in New England at Staples' 300,000-square-foot retail distribution center in Killingly, Conn. The solar power installation, built at no capital cost to Staples, was made possible through the collaborative effort of CCEF, which provided a $1.7 million grant for the project, and SunEdison, which financed the remaining costs of the project and designed and installed the system. Connecticut State Senate President Pro Tempore Donald E. Williams, Jr. (D-Brooklyn) will speak at today's event, as well as representatives from CCEF, Staples and SunEdison.

CONNECTICUT CLEAN ENERGY FUND TO FINANCE STATE'S LARGEST-EVER SOLAR ENERGY PROJECT
ROCKY HILL, Conn., March 13, 2006 - The single largest solar photovoltaic (PV) project ever undertaken in the state will go forward as a result of the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund's (CCEF) recent approval to provide $1.7 million in funding for the project. The 433 kilowatt commercial solar photovoltaic system will be developed in eastern Connecticut on the site of the distribution center of a major national company. CCEF funded the project under its $21 million On-site Renewable Distributed Generation Program. The decision represents a milestone: CCEF has now supported development of more than 100 solar PV systems statewide, which have a total nameplate capacity exceeding one megawatt (1,000 kilowatts of electricity).

ROCKY HILL, Conn., November 28, 2006 - Connecticut Innovations today announced that, through the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), it has reissued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Round 2 of "Project 100," an initiative promoting the development and deployment of "Class I" renewable energy resources. The re-issuance today comes after the Department of Public Utility Control's (DPUC's) approval, on November 22, 2006, of the revised electricity purchase agreement, including revised pricing options as well as RFP-related documents. Those parties interested in participating under "Project 100" are required to complete a proposal consistent with the new RFP document and submit it by December 20, 2006.

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Appoints Project Associate
August 21, 2006 - Konstantine Drakonakis of Orange, Conn., has been named project associate with the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) at Connecticut Innovations (CI), the quasi-public organization driving technology innovation in Connecticut through a variety of investment funds, projects, programs and industry leadership initiatives. PROJECT 100 BID DEADLINE EXTENDED A SECOND TIME
ROCKY HILL, Conn., August 11, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), administered by Connecticut Innovations (CI), today announced that the due date for bids under Round II of Project 100 has been extended for a second time. The extension was made in response to a directive by the Department of Public Utility Control (DPUC) to CCEF to postpone acting on Round II bids until after DPUC has rendered a final decision regarding long-term renewable energy contracts. The currently scheduled bid due date of August 15, 2006 has, therefore, been extended until a date to be determined after that decision is rendered.

Four New Solar Photovoltaic Projects to Go Forward
ROCKY HILL, Conn., July 26, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF), administered by Connecticut Innovations (CI), today announced that it has committed to support the installation of six new solar photovoltaic (PV) systems located at four project sites - in Centerbrook, Hartford, West Simsbury and Westport. The funding of $270,000 will cover approximately half of the total system installation costs.

Pilot Program Supporting Community-based Clean Energy Awareness and Education Projects Is Launched

ROCKY HILL, Conn., May 30, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) announced today that it has signed a loan agreement with Bridgeport Fuel Cell Park, LLC (BFCP) for pre-development funding of a 10-megawatt fuel cell park to be located on a brownfield site in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This fuel cell project, when completed, will be the largest in the country and will be able to power over 9,300 households with clean energy.

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Completes Financing for Pre-development of Biomass Gasification Plant
ROCKY HILL, Conn., April 24, 2006 - The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) announced today that it has signed a loan agreement with Norwalk-based Plainfield Renewable Energy, LLC to support that company's predevelopment of a 30-megawatt, wood-fueled, low emissions advanced biomass gasification plant at a facility it plans to build in Plainfield, Connecticut. The loan of up to $500,000 is being provided through the CCEF's Pre-Development Program, which funds the early stages of renewable energy projects that will feed power from clean energy sources into the New England electric grid.

Connecticut's Clean Energy Communities Makes its Debut

This program will offer a free solar energy system to municipalities that commit to purchase clean energy representing 20% of their electricity use by 2010. Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Releases 2002 Fuel Cell Request for Proposal
Rocky Hill, Conn., January 7, 2003 - Following the success of the 2001 Fuel Cell Request for Proposal (RFP), the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) has recently issued the 2002 Fuel Cell RFP to promote clean, reliable distributed generation in Connecticut and the commercialization of fuel cells. The funding level for the 2002 Fuel Cell RFP could reach almost $9 million. In addition to the $8 million expected from CCEF, the Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P), administrator of the Energy Conservation and Load Management Fund (EC&LMF), has agreed to consider proposals for a joint project that integrates fuel cell application with energy conservation and load management measures. For this joint project, EC&LMF will make available approximately $800,000.

South Windsor Fuel Cell Unveiled
